“ Remember that your union AMATAS has always helped put Anambra in good light. You traders generate revenue for us and go the extra mile to put in your best in physical development of Anambra as a city. We provide the kits to you as special citizens. You aid the government and the government aids you as well. The kits are just a symbol and token of our commitment. Make it up. In the midst of your busy schedules, you need sports and recreation to balance your lives integrally. You need to loosen up by playing and supporting those who play' the governor said.
Receiving the kits on behalf of Anambra traders, the Public Relations Officer of the Amalgamated Traders body popularly known as AMATAS, Hon Vincent Ifeme alongside his other colleagues in the committee, praised the governor for according the traders their right status in Anambra state. He praised the governor for taking after his late mother who was a trader and member of the union. He commended the governor for working well with AMATAS for the wellbeing of both the union and entire people of Anambra State. Hon Ifeme said the traders overwhelmingly endorse him to continue as governor for his good deeds. He praised his foresight for doing a N10million project in all the Anambra markets.
“ We the traders are not surprised at your achievements especially in our markets because we gave birth to you. Your late mother was one of us. At your younger age, you were always in the market to assist your mother. So you are one of us- a trader's good son. We shall support you overwhelmingly at the November elections. We heartily accept the kits for our competitions and promise to make it very enjoyable. Like you said, we need to take out some time to engage in healthy recreation and one of them is sports. God will keep you for us' Ifeme said.
