Eighteen years after his wedding and seven years after the birth of his lovely daughter, a former permanent secretary of Anambra State Ministry of Youths, Sports, Barr. Uche Emma Nworah, KSM and his wife, Lady Stella Nworah, LSM, last Sunday, July 9, 2017 dedicated their twin sons- Chukwunnaemeka Fabian and Chukwudifu Ferdinand Nworah to God, amid thanksgiving and joy. The joyful double thanksgiving to God for the blessed gift of the twin sons and miraculous healing of Barr Uche Emma Nworah of cancer, which was held at Saints John & Paul Catholic Church, Umubele-Awka, Awka South L.G.A, Anambra State, was graced by cream of knights and ladies of Saint Mulumba, government officials, family members, friends, well wishers and other dignitaries from all walks of life. Speaking during the thanksgiving Mass, Barr Nworah, KSM, who walked (for the first time since January 2017), in thanksgiving to God, thanked God for healing him of the cancer of the spinal cord and for His gift of life to him (Emma) based on his trust in God. Giving his testimony before the congregation that filled the entire church building to the brim, Barr Uche Nworah, KSM, said, ' the result of the biopsy test earlier conducted showed 48% of cancer cells and the cancer was said to be metastatic. He continued, 'I called on God in faith, and asked Him to heal me based on my trust in Him. I told God that the level I am operating with Him has passed that of faith, but now on trust. That He should heal me to enable me fulfill my own part of responsibilities to Him (God). I have complete confidence that God healed me, so I went for a second biopsy, and the result showed that cancer cell was negative'. Nworah, who was still in the pains, though recuperating was filled with delight, and in thanksgiving to God, donated N2M in support of ongoing Ss John & Paul Catholic Church projects in addition to other thanksgiving gifts in cash and items.
He also mobilized others, who supported the donation. Barr Uche Emma Nworah, a devoted Catholic and knight of Saint Mulumba Nigeria wedded his wife, Lady Stella Nworah on August 7, 1999. He is known for his life of philanthropy, charity, goodness, truth and trust in God. Barr Nworah, who is also a former permanent secretary with the Anambra State Ministry of Local Government, retired from the civil service as a former permanent secretary of Ministry of Youth Sports and Entrepreneurship in 2016. Earlier when he led in the concelebrated thanksgiving Mass, the Catholic Bishop of Ahiara Diocese, Most Rev Dr Peter Ebere Okpaleke in his homily thanked God for His gift of life to Sir Uche Nworah. Bishop Okpaleke, who is a former parish priest of Ss John & Paul Catholic Parish, Umubele- Awka, thanked God for the rare gift of Barr Nworah, whose inspiring presence, commitment and donations to the church has been a source of inspiration to others.
Drawing from the gospel of the Sunday, the Catholic prelate enjoined Barr Uche Nworah not allow his present difficult situation deprive him of his joy in the Lord, but in thanksgiving, carry back his burdens to God, who would in line with Matthew 11: 28, lessen his burdens. Basing his reflections further on the story of the Good Samaritan, Bishop Okpaleke urged people of goodwill to assist Barr Uche Nworah in lessening his present burdens to ensure proper care of the children.
