Horizons were widened, more lights were thrown to the insight as some of the SS1 commerce students of St. John of God secondary School Awka, who aspire to be mass communicators together with some members of staff of the school were on an excursion to Fides Communications on Tuesday, 6th July, 2017. Addressing the students, the Editor-in-Chief, Fides communications, Mr. Jude Atupulazi, encouraged the students to open their minds to possibilities and conquer whatever stereotypes that may come their way in the future.

He further encouraged them to lay their bed now as they will lie on it when the time comes. He charged them to be good communicators as a communicator must be smart, vibrant, intelligent and ready to explore the world, hence they should wear their breast plate of confidence. He yet again advised them to do away with the mindset that a woman's education ended in the kitchen and be an epitome of self reliance.

Mrs. Uche Amunike, the Assistant Editor, Fides Communications speaking to the students, pin pointed that communication rules the world hence communicators hold the key to the gate of the world. She advised them to be book friendly as with knowledge one can wine and dine with the high and mighty. She also, geared them to be full of confidence and societally friendly as it will make them good communicators. The students with a great sense of joy and happiness expressed their deep and profound appreciation to Fides Communications for such a great opportunity.
