The daughter of former Commissioner for Works Anambra State, Architect Callistus Ilozumba, Miss Stella-Immaculata Eziolu Ilozumba, has emerged the best graduating student with First Class Honours in the Department of Civil Engineering, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
The degree was conferred on her during the 11th Convocation Ceremony of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Joseph Ahaneku.
Speaking exclusively to Fides shortly after her convocation, a highly elated Miss Immaculata, said she was overwhelmed with joy, having herself decorated as the best graduating student of her set.
When asked about the secret of her success, she attributed it to God, as well as to her parental guidance, stating that her parents gave her the necessary support she needed to succeed in her academic pursuit.
Speaking on life after service year, Miss Ilozumba explained that she had started preparing seriously for her Master's Degree, noting that immediately after her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) she would embark on hard core research and interpretations.
About where she would like to be in the next five years, Miss Ilozumba said it was the classroom, noting that lecturing had always been her dream job.

In their separate speeches, the erstwhile commissioner for Works Anambra State, Arch. Ilozumba, and wife, expressed gratitude to God for giving them yet another opportunity to witness another round of graduation of their child, having witnessed four others.
Arch. Ilozumba described her daughter, Eziolu, as a dedicated, education friendly and serious minded individual. This is even as he wished her well in her future endeavours.
He disclosed that before now four of his children had graduated from different faculties and with good results too.
Arch. Ilozumba called on parents to bestow on their children the best legacy which he described as education, noting that he had strived so hard to ensure that he had all his children trained educationally and otherwise.
