Engr (Dr) Nnamdi Nwadiogbu, New P.G, Ogbunike

The Ogbunike Community in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State has elected an 11-man executive to pilot the affairs of the town. The new executive is led by a seasoned public administrator, Engr (Dr) Nnamdi Nwadiogbu.
In his acceptance speech, Engr Nwadiogbu who is the current head of local government administration in Awka South, promised to bring peace to the community and attract government presence for the development of the town's tourist attraction, Ogbunike Cave, with a view to making it financially viable.
He also promised among other things to improve the town's security network.
The election which was described as free and fair and the most peaceful in the past forty years by the traditional ruler of the town, Igwe Ositadinma Umenyiora, was conducted by Bishop Mike Okonkwo.
It attracted eminent personalities, including the chairman, Anambra State Local Government Services Commission, Dr Peter Egenti, who expressed confidence that the community would enjoy peace as a result of the calibre of people in the new executive.
A retired Army officer, Col Onwuteaka, in his comment, said that Ogbunike had produced the best town union executive and described the new president-general as a man of impeccable character and intimidating background.
Other members of the executive include, Mr Dowanson Mbanefo, First Vice President; Engr Ikenna Aniekwena, 2nd Vice President; Mr Jeff Modeme, 3rd Vice President; Rev Elobisi Ikechukwu, Secretary General; Mr Nnamdi Anyaegbu, Asst Secretary, and Sir Eddie Nwanne, Fin Sec.
Dr Gospel Osadebe was elected Treasurer, while Mr Kenechukwu Ejinkeonye was elected as the Legal Adviser.
The positions of Provost 1 and 2 went to Messrs Chijioke Aniekwena and Uchenna Mbamalu.   
Engr Nwadiogbu is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, as well as a registered member of COREN. He holds a Doctorate in Public Administration, majoring in Public Analysis, among others.
